NAHF 2007 Conference: At A Glance
The conference is designed with keynotes each day, stimulating panel discussions and a plethora of speakers in 4-empowering tracks:
Track #1: Youth Fitness
Track #2: Diverse Community Fitness and Native Americans
Track #3: Fitness for Older Adults
Track #4: The Environment, Transportation, and Physical Activity.
Super Thursday
This special day is set up for those who would like to attend for only one day. The day is set up to provide programs that will be of interest to all professionals in the health and fitness field, health/fitness organizations, educators, and health/fitness promoters. The day will end with a Conference reception to be held at Knott’s Berry Farm Resort Hotel.
Fabulous Friday
This full day will include fitness demonstrations, breakout session and will end with the Annual NAHF Gold Star Awards Dinner and reception. The CGCPFS will also be presenting awards at the dinner. Do not miss this event, as some very special people will be honored.
Leisure Saturday
A solid presentation by the architect of Be Active North Carolina and an innovative ‘Fitness Poetry and Fitness Essay Sit In’ will be among the choices that kick off this half-day. Participants will hear and learn from all the state councils from across the country and find out how NAHF operates. The conference will end with a unique tour to California State University Fullerton for a Youth Event. For those interested, exciting local tours/trips will be offered Saturday & Sunday depending on sufficient pre-registration for each tour.
Saturday morning “Fitness Poetry and Essay Sit In
All conference attendees are invited to bring in a poem or essay written by them selves or people in their organization or state about what fitness means to them or others. The poems and essays will be shared in the Saturday Poetry- Essay Sit in session and for possible inclusion in the NAH&F “Get Fit America Book”. Also welcomed are special photos and CD’s. Encouraging youth or seniors to submit works will produce some very special results.
